About

CFX Fencing was founded in 1997, and was previously the fence contracting department of a larger company, Capital Fencing Ltd. In 1997, it was decided to separate the fence contracting into a completely separate business. Initially it was called Capital Fencing Contracts Ltd, and this was subsequently renamed as CFX Contracts Ltd. Today it remains a separate business, but also acts as the main Dublin installing agent for Capital Fencing, and the two companies often co-operate closely on projects.

Over the many years of its history, it has been involved in over 10,000 fencing projects from minor garden fencing projects to large projects such as the Dublin to Cork gas pipleline, the World Hockey championship pitches at UCD, in Dublin, Intel Fab 10, 12 and 24 at Leixlip in Kildare, Dublin Airport perimeter fencing, and many more. The very wide variety of work in the fencing industry means that constant adaptability, has been an essential part of the history of the company.

One of the biggest and most challenging projects the company was involved in was the LUAS light rail project, which involved securing the boundaries to the rail lines in difficult access areas along several kilometers of the lines..

In 2022, the company moved to a newer factory unit in Tallaght, Dublin 24. This move provides better access to the main transport arteries, M50, N81, and M7, reducing travel times, as well as better parking and loading areas
